DST-16 distributor of timing or synchronization signal

The DST-16 distributor (splitter) of
timing or synchronization signals was constructed at the Institute
of Electronics and Telecommunications. It allows the distribution
of timing and synchronization signal up to 16 external devices. The
equipment constructed does not require any configuration at the installation
place. It is enough to connect the power as well as input and output
lines. These simple works may be carried out with the operator's resources,
with no need of engaging the distributors supplier staff, which reduces
costs meaningfully.
The DST-16 distributor has the built-in
signalisation of the lack of input and output signals and the memory
of temporary signal losses. It has also remote alarms. The latter
ones may be connected directly to an SDH multiplexer and the operator
can organise a central monitoring system of signals presence at the
distributors inputs and outputs with almost no costs. In normal operating
conditions, the DST-16 distributor is a service-free device through
the whole working period estimated for at least 20 years.
The input signals for the DST-16 distributor
may be 2048kHz signal (basic input) or 2048kbit/s signal with HDB-3
code (backup input). The backup input accepts also 2048kHz signal.
The output signal is a sinusoidal wave satisfying ITU-T G-703-13 recommendation.
The properties of DST, including a relatively low price, distinguishes
meaningfully the proposed equipment from among similar equipment items
of other manufacturers..
